Mother’s Day 7 Days of Prayer: Day 7
DAY 7 – BLESSINGS FOR THE DAY
She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates. (Proverbs 31:27-31)
For Mom:
Father, will you give my Mom wisdom as she manages all that she has today. Thank your for all that she does to be sure everything runs well. Help her to look after things and refuse the bread of idleness that so easily leads to discontentment and self-pity. Give her wisdom in organizing her day in the most efficient way possible. Help her to fear you O God and not man. I pray you would allow her to see the fruit of her hands today. Teach us to honor her and to express gratitude for her. Help her to know that she is loved today and that we rise up and call her blessed! In Jesus’ Name, Amen
For Grandmother:
Father, thank you for the years of wisdom you have given Grandmother. I pray today you would give her wisdom to manage her time. Help her to refuse the bread of idleness, protecting her from discontentment and self-pity. Give her opportunity to pour into the lives of her grandchildren. Help her to fear you and not man. I pray you would allow her to see the fruit of her hands today and help her to encourage her children with the fruit she sees in their lives. Teach us to honor her and express our gratitude to her. Remind her that she is loved today and that we rise up and call her blessed! In Jesus’ Name, Amen
For Children and Grandchildren:
Father, help my children not take for granted what you have blessed them with. Teach them to honor and bless those who have so richly poured into them. I pray for our girls to know and ours boys to understand that there is so much more that defines a woman than mere physical appearance. Remind them that “charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” I pray your praise will ring louder in their ears and capture their attention more than the praise of man. Protect them from the bread of idleness that easily leads to discontentment and self-pity. Assure them of your love and unending commitment to them today! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
