It is with sad hearts we share the news of Dr. Jimmy DeYoung’s homegoing. He left this world on Sunday morning, August 15, 2021, a victim of COVID-19.
Jimmy was our dear friend. We had him as a guest on our program many times through the years. He was one of our most popular guests as he shared his love and knowledge of end-times and prophecy. He was a stalwart defender of the Scriptures, and never wavered from the pre-tribulation view of the rapture.
In 2008 we were privileged to spend three weeks with Jimmy and his wife, Judy, all over Israel with a film crew. It was a life-changing trip as we filmed Jimmy talking about his beloved Israel. We visited locations that weren’t open to tourists, and interviewed many prominent Jewish historians as well as political leaders of that time. Jimmy knew all of them, and opened many doors for us. We put this material into a great documentary. Also, the series we did with him “Step by Step Through Revelation” is still one of our most asked for series.
Our hearts grieve with his wife, Judy, and their adult children: Jimmy, Jr., Jodi, Leslie, Rick and their spouses and children. But we grieve not as those who have no hope for we know that God has a plan for each of our lives. We rejoice knowing that Jimmy will get to see the rapture from the other side!
