Did the Disciples Change the Message of Jesus?

What You’ll Learn:

A new book by Bart Ehrman called Jesus Before the Gospels claims the gospel message spread orally before being written out, with His followers changing the stories when they were put into written form. Is this true? A look at the evidence reveals many weaknesses in this view. Two of the Gospels were written by eyewitnesses. Mark is also traditionally based on the teachings of the apostle Peter. Luke used many eyewitnesses. This was not a changed message, but a direct message. Further, the Gospels were written within the lifetimes of the eyewitnesses. There was not enough time to allow for the changes Ehrman claims. The message of Jesus was faithfully written and can still be trusted today.
