Faith Based on Facts

Is faith simply based on feelings? Not exactly. The Christian faith is based on verifiable facts of history. For example, Jesus either physically rose from the dead or He did not. A person can evaluate the evidence and make a decision accordingly. Yes, the decision to believe in Jesus as God’s Son who rose from the dead involves faith. However, it is faith based on facts. There are certainly feelings associated with faith in Jesus, but faith, facts, and feelings operate together. Without facts, there would be no Christian faith. This is also why it is important to learn more about our faith. When we learn why we believe, it strengthens our faith. Our faith is based on facts.
