Is ISIS (also known as ISIL or the Islamic State) mentioned in Bible prophecy? Ezekiel 38 describes a coalition of nations from the Middle East who will come against Israel in a future war. Some of these nations could very well fit the locations occupied by ISIS radicals in the Middle East. Though it is uncertain whether ISIS is directly mentioned in Ezekiel 38, it is certain a similar coalition will one day rise against Israel in battle. Scripture predicts God will miraculously intervene to provide Israel victory. For now, we can follow the call of Psalm 122:6 to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” God will ultimately fulfill His promises and bring peace to the Middle East.
