In a television interview with scholar Gary Habermas he told me: Gary Habermas: They had experiences that they believed were appearances of the risen Jesus and it turned their lives around because they believed they were right. Now people will die for beliefs, even wrong ones, but people only do so because they are convinced their beliefs are right. All but one of the apostles died for their belief that Jesus was alive. What convinced them? It was because they had seen, heard and touched the resurrected Jesus.
