Do you find Bible prophecy confusing? Many do. When it comes to better understanding Revelation or the end times, some view it like algebra—we know it’s important, but struggle to make sense of it.
Yet Revelation 1:3 promises a unique blessing to those who study the Bible’s final book: “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.” This is a blessing I want for my life—and for yours!
This month, we begin a new series with my friend and Bible prophecy expert Dr. Jimmy DeYoung to help you better understand the book of Revelation. In our programs together, Dr. DeYoung will guide you through the 22 chapters of this prophetic book in chronological order, offering a unique and understandable perspective that will change your life.
In part 1 of our series, we include four programs covering key aspects of Revelation. Program 1 includes a unique overview of the entire book of Revelation in a single program. Dr. DeYoung has taught this information to audiences worldwide to offer a clear outline of the key aspects of the apostle John’s prophecies.
Our second program addresses the apostle John’s vision of Jesus. Revelation 1 offers a unique look at Jesus in His glorified form. He provides instructions for John’s writing that influences the remaining 21 chapters, in addition to offering many applications for our lives today.
In program 3 we begin our discussion of the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3. Each church existed as a local congregation in the first century with their own strengths and weaknesses that inform the way our churches function still today.
In program 4 Dr. DeYoung addresses Revelation 4 and the beginning of the heavenly visions the apostle John experiences. We’ll identify aspects such as the 24 elders, and highlight the rapture and the various views of the Tribulation.
We are also making four additional programs available in part 2 of our series with Dr. DeYoung. In program 5, we discuss the revived Roman Empire that will arise during the Tribulation period. Program 6 highlights the three sets of seven judgments that will take place during the Tribulation, bringing vast destruction upon the earth.
In program 7, we feature Christ’s return at the end of the seven-year Tribulation period. He will defeat His enemies at the Battle of Armageddon and set up His 1,000-year Millennial Kingdom.
In program 8, we conclude with Satan’s final rebellion and defeat at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, God’s final judgment, and describe the believer’s ultimate home in eternity future. Eternity future will include God providing a beautiful new heaven, new earth, and New Jerusalem.

Approximately half of those in listening groups make a decision for Christ, meaning this outreach has helped reach over 1.5 million people for Christ!

Coming Soon on The John Ankerberg Show
Now let me tell you some exciting news about the TV programs we will bring you this year to encourage and strengthen your faith, and to present the gospel clearly to non-Christians. First, we have exciting programs coming up with Hannu Hauka regarding city-wide evangelism in some of the world’s most difficult cities. His ministry is at work in Russia, the Ukraine, Iraq, Mongolia, and Tanzania, reaching millions of people with the gospel.
We’ll also soon have Dr. Gary Habermas back in the studio to discuss the evidence for early Christian beliefs. As the world’s foremost scholar on the resurrection of Jesus, he’ll demonstrate how early creeds provide some of the strongest information for the Bible’s teachings about the life, death, resurrection, and deity of Jesus.
We’ll also have Dr. Erwin Lutzer back with us in the studio later in 2020.
