Upcoming series on Science
Almost all of us have a loved one or friend who has rejected God because of science. In our upcoming programs, we’ll address this concern head on, revealing that the latest scientific evidence supports the Bible’s teachings.
Modern science has discovered the universe had a beginning. For example, astronomer George Smoot from the University of California-Berkeley states, “What we have found is evidence for the birth of the universe…. It’s like looking at God.”
Nobel Prize winner Arno Penzias wrote, “Astronomy leads us to a unique event, a universe which was created out of nothing… one which has an underlying, one might say ‘supernatural’ plan.”
The late Stephen Hawking also conceded, “It would be very difficult to explain why the universe should have begun in just this way except as the act of a God who intended to create beings like us.”
These and other top scientists are providing information consistent with Hebrews 11:3: “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
Genesis 1:1 continues to ring true today: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

This month on The John Ankerberg Show, I will bring you our series called “Science Discovers the Universe Had a Beginning.” My guest is Dr. Hugh Ross. He is a PhD graduate of the University of Toronto and did postdoctoral research for five years at Caltech, studying quasars and galaxies. He is an astrophysicist and the President of Reasons to Believe.
In the four powerful programs entitled “Science Discovers the Universe Had a Beginning,” Dr. Ross reveals the scientific evidence that has led astronomers to conclude the universe had a beginning, as well as how God has designed the universe in precisely the manner necessary for human life.
Then he will also show you some of the many ways the complexity of the universe points toward Intelligent Design rather than Darwinian evolution. The universe has been “fine-tuned” for life on our planet in ways only explainable by a wise and creative being.
Step By Step Through Creation
Second, we are also airing a groundbreaking series with Dr. Ross entitled “Step by Step Through Creation.” The four programs in this series provide the information that will help you reconcile the biblical account of creation with today’s scientific evidence.
These programs also feature video clips of my interviews with Dr. Walter Kaiser, one of the world’s top Hebrew scholars. He will offer detailed explanations of some of the Hebrew words in the creation accounts that are key to better understanding creation. Dr. Kaiser was one of my professors when I went to grad school.

You will hear how Lee interviewed America’s foremost skeptic who built a seemingly persuasive case against the miraculous. But Lee traveled the country to quiz scholars to see whether they could offer answers to these atheistic objections.
