November News Update

I have some great news to tell you. We are now airing our TV programs on both religious and secular television stations in the United States and Canada. Of course, I know that many of you are watching us on Daystar here in the United States, Canada, and around the world.

In addition, people have already watched our programs with Anne Graham Lotz on Newsmax, on Fox in Dallas, on Fox in Orlando, and on NBC in Jacksonville, Florida. Your monthly support makes this outreach possible.

The Lord has also opened up the door for us to put our television program on weekly across Russia in the Russian language, 10 times a week in different languages in India, and every Sunday in the Scandinavian countries, Romania, and the Ukraine.

We are also on God TV which broadcasts via satellite from London to Australia, and from Iceland all the way down to South Africa. Our broadcasts in Russia, India, Romania, Ukraine, and on God TV are missionary outreaches that we pay for, but we do not expect to get much support from these countries.

 

Our partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing

 

Further, the Lord has been blessing our partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing. As a result of your generous gifts, Faith Comes By Hearing reports that there are now 7,867,817 people who have joined listening groups and are consistently studying God’s Word by way of Audio Bibles.  About 3,933,909 have come to faith in Christ.

These audio Bibles are now being heard by people in 45 countries, speaking 251 languages!

Beginning November 21 Morgan Jackson, Director of Faith Comes By Hearing, will join me in our studio to share updates and more exciting stories about what God is doing with His Word around the world.

Here are some examples of the difference the Audio Bibles are making in the lives of those who hear God’s Word.

Felipe and his wife have been sharing their Proclaimer with their extended family during this difficult time. “We have seen the hand of God on us, our children, and grandchildren. Every day we learn more about His Word when we join together to listen.

“God has restored our home, brought forgiveness, and healed our hearts from our past hurts as we listen. We want to save our grandchildren from repeating our history of arguing and difficulty. We want Jesus to be the center for our family.”

Farid from North Africa told us, “As a full-time thief, I was not interested in God. I went to prison three times and had begun to plan how to rob a shop nearby. During that same time, I met a man who talked about how Jesus had completely altered his life.

“His story touched me very much. I had never heard anything like the Audio Bible before. I began to think about what I heard; it was always on my mind. I wanted to know more, so I met with the man several times a week, and finally I surrendered to Jesus and repented of my terrible deeds.”

Never forget that the Audio Bibles you provide are changing lives for eternity. Most of us will never have the opportunity to actually go to a foreign country to share the gospel. But your gift for one or more Audio Bibles allows God’s Word to go into places where often no one has gone before.

A Proclaimer, a BibleStick, or a micro-SD card bearing God’s Word can penetrate the most impenetrable borders, even the human heart (Hebrews 4:12).

I would ask that you be much in prayer for the national Christians who are taking these audio devices into remote areas, often at great personal peril.

When Morgan and I start to tell the stories of how God is working in the hearts of people who have never heard the gospel before, please pray as you consider how much God would have you give to provide an Audio Bible to be taken into unreached people groups.

Also, remember that every device you provide will be matched by a generous donor. If you give one Audio Proclaimer, your gift will be matched, so that two Proclaimers will be sent. The same is true for your gift toward the BibleSticks and the micro-SD cards. Every gift you give will be matched, doubling the impact of your giving.

Our Series with Dr. Erwin Lutzer

 

After our TV series with Anne Graham Lotz, my guest will be Dr. Erwin Lutzer, pastor emeritus of Moody Church in Chicago. Dr. Lutzer will address the topic: “Pandemics, Plagues and Natural Disasters: The Silence of God.” He will compassionately answer such questions as:

  • Does God actually have a purpose for pandemics, plagues and natural disasters?
  • Where is God when the hard times come to us? Is He working to fulfil His purpose in our life and the lives of others around us, even if we can’t hear Him?
  • Are your struggles causing you to doubt God? What does the Bible tell us about dealing with those doubts?

All seven programs with Dr. Lutzer, including some we will not air on television, are available on 2 DVDs. We will also be offering Dr. Lutzer’s book Pandemics, Plagues, and Natural Disasters: What Is God Saying to Us?

Our Wonderful God

 

As our nation pauses to celebrate Thanksgiving, aren’t you thankful that we have a great God “who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20)?

Aren’t you glad that He invites us to come to Him at any time and ask Him to exert His great power on our behalf?  Remember what He said in Jeremiah 33:3. God said, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.”

Prayer is such a powerful weapon that God has given us. Let’s not waste it. Rather, let’s stand together and pray for each other in these difficult times.

We have a team of over 700 people who have already pledged to pray regularly for our ministry, for the health and strength of our staff, for the health and other needs of you who write or call and tell us of your concerns. We are so grateful for every one of these who pray.
