Big Sins

What You’ll Learn:

Are some sins bigger than others? The Bible says all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. In God’s eyes, there are not big sins and little sins. However, some sins do have greater consequences than others. For example, a child who sneaks a candy bar without a parent’s permission may receive a small punishment. A person who steals from a business may spend years in jail. Both have done wrong, yet consequences vary. The good news is God offers forgiveness of all sins, regardless of how big or small they seem. 1 John 1:9 promises, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
