Is the Trinity Important?

What You’ll Learn:

The Bible’s teachings regarding the Trinity continue to come under attack. Is belief in the Trinity important? Simply put, the Trinity is the belief there is one God who exists in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Bible calls all three of these Persons God or refers to them as divine at various times. The Great Commission commands believers to be baptized into the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To reject the Trinity either causes a person to accept multiple gods or to believe one or more Persons in the Trinity are not divine. Neither option is biblical. God is one, yet is Father, Son, and Spirit. The Trinity is essential to biblical Christianity.
