Did you know that Pontius Pilate from the Bible is one of the strongest historical proofs for the Bible’s accuracy? In 1961 a limestone block was discovered in Israel with the Latin words, “Pontius Pilate, Prefect of Judea,” perfectly fitting the biblical account of Pilate as a leader when Jesus was crucified. Other archaeological evidence has proven many additional aspects of the Bible. For example, in 1993 King David’s name was found on an inscription in the city of Dan in Israel earlier than any other writing. Still today, researchers continue to discover artifacts that support the teachings of Scripture rather than disproving it. The Bible is accurate and its message remains powerful still today.
