The Power of Prayer

A recent Barna study revealed more than 80 percent of those who pray do so by themselves and in silence. While these prayers are powerful, God also calls us to pray with other believers. The early church devoted itself to unity in prayer according to Acts 2:42. In fact, the church began during a prayer meeting, as the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles who prayed in the upper room. The church also prayed together when Peter was in prison. Acts 4:31 even described the earth shaking when believers prayed together. One of the best ways to energize your prayer life is to pray with other believers. Make time to pray with someone and experience the power of prayer.
