What You’ll Learn:
Without God, is there any absolute standard of right or wrong? In my recent interview with philosopher Dr. William Lane Craig, he explains: “If there is no God to serve as the absolute standard for right and wrong, good and evil, then objective moral values and duties do not exist. … As the French existentialist Jean-Paul Sartre puts it: We are simply confronted with the bare valueless fact of existence, and there’s no one to say that you are right and that I am wrong.” God’s existence is essential to human morality. He is the moral lawgiver who serves as the objective for right and wrong. It is God who gives significance and meaning to our lives.
