Dr. John Ankerberg: A local church sign read, “Don’t give up on life; let our church help”. The church clearly meant it to let its people help those who are struggling. Other’s humorously saw the church claiming to help people give up on life. Unfortunately, too many people see the local church as the last place they would turn for help. Yet the Bible is clear the church is important to Jesus. The New Testament calls the church the bride of Christ. God doesn’t want us to abandon His bride. All believers are part of God’s family His church. Let’s work together to make it better for those in the church and to reach others outside of the church.
