Statement Concerning Ravi Zacharias

We have been extremely sad to read the official statement from RZIM and Miller & Martin about the actions of Ravi Zacharias. We are praying for his family, the staff of RZIM, those who have suffered from his misconduct and for the pain they are enduring.  We know nothing more than what has been released by the RZIM official report which can be found at https://www.rzim.org/page/public-statements

Just like many of you, we are heartbroken by what their board has discovered.  We are praying for them and for those who have suffered from Ravi’s misconduct.  As a result, we have removed all series, articles, and videos featuring Ravi from our websites and online store.

I think you have to do this. It makes me sad but you cannot continue as if it is all just ok.

I am so heartbroken over Ravi😢
As much as I use to love to hear Ravi speak and learn from him…I can’t even look at him or listen to him speak, anymore. Just trying to wrap my head around how he could speak so righteously but live so broken and lost. I just don’t get it.
I think you are doing the right thing by taking all his sermons and books off your website.
Prayers of comfort for his family and victims🙏🏻

I know this was a very sad thing to have to do…we all love Ravi so very much…I pray for his soul as I want people to pray for my soul. We need to be in the spirit of Christian forgiveness at all times…and we need to never idolize our Christian leaders…they are as human as we are. Pray for his victims, pray for his family, and pray for his followers.

This is very unfortunate. His actions prove he’s a fallen man, just like all of us. But does that really taint the teachings, discussions, materials? My walk with Jesus has been made stronger because of his work, as well as Dr. Ankerberg. Because of his actions, is my walk in question? I say no. God works all things for good for those He has called. I hope one day Ravi’s materials can be shared again. Maybe in a different form.

Just learned about Ravi last week and was concerned about the reputation of the JA Show. I want to honor your decision. I had been associated with two evangelists in India about 10-12 years a go and assisted editing books for them. I recall mentioning Ravi to them and there was silence. I wondered if they were aware of something private at that time. One minister I traveled with in India and assisted in editing was well-known for his conversion from violence and appeared on Daystar (flew with him and his wife to the studio). A lot of Indians I met here in the US were silent also about this minister but understandably. His website is http://www.gunstogospel.com. Another evangelist had me researching Myanmar and I have been very interested in what is happening in that country having been called to mission myself many years ago (now about your age, John). Your show has been a favorite. Many blessings to you and all your staff and wife.

Our faith must always be in Christ, the Spirit, and the Father, not any man. This episode should reinforce the message that “mega-ministries” are NOT part of God’s plan, but Satan’s. By focusing so much attention and giving great power to any one person or group they become easy prey for the Great Deceiver and our own innate fleshly desires. Only by strict brotherly oversight and accountability can any of us hope to sustain a Godly witness.
