Does the Bible Predict a One World Government?

Many have noted concerns about increasing globalism and a united world government. Does the Bible predict a one world government?

A look at the prophecies of Revelation note a future political leader who will control the world during a seven-year tribulation. Revelation 13 specifically speaks of the leader of a revived Roman Empire who will include what is known as the mark of the beast that every person will need to buy and sell.

Based on this information, many have argued the Bible predicts a one world government. While Scripture does predict a global leader who will seek to rule the world, his leadership will be short and his control will be disputed.

For example, the midpoint of the tribulation mentions the future Antichrist will break his agreement with Israel and desecrate the Jewish temple, causing Jews to flee the city. In addition, the nations listed in Ezekiel 38 seem to act outside of the Antichrist’s power in attacking Israel. While there will be a strong attempt at global government, it appears it will exist during a time of conflict and judgment prior to the second coming of Jesus.

Further, those holding a pre-tribulation view of the rapture believe Jesus will come back for His followers at any moment before the tribulation, meaning a global government will not take place until after this time. There is no need for fear concerning the Antichrist or the mark of the beast, as believers will no longer be in this world.

However, some observations are important regardless of the timing of these events concerning the prediction of a global leader during the tribulation.

Increased global government now should lead us to be aware we live in the last days

Yes, the New Testament teaches we have been in the last days since the time of the early church, but increased globalism highlights how easily the fulfillment of this prediction could take place.

Increased globalism today generally emphasizes controls limiting freedom of religious expression

Hate speech applied toward biblical teachings has already become a tremendous concern, leading to a wide variety of legal challenges. America’s recent pushback on conservative voices in social media and Big Tech appear to support a similar path.

Increased globalism reminds us our true kingdom is not of this world

Despite those who lead our nation and the nations of the world, we ultimately serve the Lord Jesus Christ. When we see political actions that concern us, we can work toward improvement, but know there will always be limitations in our fallen world until we appear in eternity with the Lord.

A look at the predictions regarding the Antichrist in the Bible should cause us to live with eyes wide open regarding our service to God and love for others, but should not lead us to walk in fear. The Bible teaches, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). We serve the King of kings and Lord of lords. When we follow the Creator of heaven and earth, we can face anything that comes our way on this earth.

    Dear sirs,

I was taught in school as a pre-trib dispensationalist. It is hard for a man to change his mind. We all struggle with our pride, don’t we? I would like to ask you to consider your position more closely.
There is no third coming taught in the scriptures. God rescued Noah; destroyed the earth. God rescued Lot and destroyed Sodom. Jesus said every one would see Him coming. There is a distinction between Israel and the church, but election teaches us we were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. Was Abraham a Jew? A man of faith? Paul writes that we are Jews who are Jews inwardly(Romans). In other words Gods plan is for one people, one faith, one baptism, one church. He is coming for us when He cuts those days short(Matt). We who base our life on the scriptures interpret scripture with scripture, don’t we? Check out the parallel language throughout the scriptures on the “day of the lord”. If pre-trib is an incorrect doctrine than how many thousands have been led astray and won’t be ready to endure the antichrist or his mark?

I’m appealing as a brother not an opponent to sound teaching.
    Kindest regards

I also agree with the brother above. When you read Matthew, Daniel, and Revelation, you can clearly see that the Tribulation is separated by two distinct parts, Tribulation and Wrath. Daniel represents the Church. He was under King Neb who threw, Daniel, into the lion’s den. God was with him. King Neb threw Daniel’s 3 friends into the fire pit, God was with them. Likewise, the Church will be in the Tribulation as the Bible says, “Matthew…21For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. 22 If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.” We are the Elect! In other parts of the Bible you will also see that we “Saints” come with Christ into the Millennium. Then you will also find, Rev 20:4 4Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. ” As you can plainly, the Church and the Tribulation Saints which also are the Church, come with Christ into the 1000 years. You can also see that we are all in Heaven at the same time in Rev 7: 9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes , and palms in their hands; 10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. >THEN Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation , and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them….. Also in Rev 7, the Tribes of Israel are being sealed now. Why? Because they will be evangelists in the Wrath. Why were they not sealed at the times of the Seals? Because the Seals were not God’s Wrath! >Rev 7:2 2And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. You neglect the words>Matthew 24:29-51
    King James Version
29 Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.>>>>But let’s make it a little clearer that this is the Rapture of the Elect from the four winds>Mark 13:…26At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27And He will send out the angels to gather His ELECT from the four winds, from the ends of the EARTH to the ends of HEAVEN. >The Rapture of the Church is the LAST Rapture. The White Throne Judgement after the Millennium is a Resurrection only. Then, the White Throne Judgement. I pray eyes open….in Jesus name. AMEN! <3

GOD’S TIMETABLE – 6000 YEARS FROM ADAM TO THE ANTICHRIST (666)

Due to the HOLY BIBLES manifold dates (one’s lifetime, begetting age of the first son, coronation as king, reign as king etc.), the Bible facilitates the creation of a gapless chronology from the creation of Adam to the end of “self-governance of the nations” and the rise of Antichrist “666”.

As a matter of fact, when you bring together the evidence contained in the “Old” Testament and the “New” Testament, you are able to count the years from the creation of Adam (3980 BCE) to the rise of Lucifer’s “one world government”, which will apparently be installed 2020/2021 CE (3980 BCE – 6000 years = 2020/2021 CE), just around 3 ½ – 7 years before YAHSHUA MESSIAH`S return as King of Kings.
