New Year, Renewed Faith
The new year makes a great time to consider how to renew our faith as well. Many will make resolutions, but a spiritual goal for the next 12 months can have an eternal impact. What are some practical ways to renew your faith in 2021?

The Value of a Good Foundation
Never underestimate the value of a good foundation! I’m a crafter. My preferred craft is crochet, but I’ll entertain other options from time to time. When I was younger and had better eyesight, I loved to make doilies out of very fine thread with a very tiny hook. If you’ve ever made a doily—or have…

It was my dear friend Sarah, an incredible Bible teacher, who first opened my eyes to the real beauty of this Bible story. In Mark 7 we have the story of Jesus healing a man who was deaf, and who had trouble speaking. Here is a man who was considered “special needs.” People more than…

Christmas Through the Eyes of the Shepherds
Imagine what it must have been like that night when the shepherds first heard of their Savior. The context is the Syrophoenician woman who came to Jesus begging for help for her demon-possessed daughter. The Greek, Keller…

Questions About the Wise Men
Christmas nativity scenes often include three wise men riding camels and bringing gifts for baby Jesus.

I was reminded of that study today as I read a challenge to look for the phrase “this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet,” or similar phrases in the Gospel of Matthew. Mind officially blown.
